Challenge

Atomi’s initial smart device rollout faced significant setbacks due to unreliable SDKs, limited cloud control, and fragmented user experience. With a vision to expand into connected devices, they needed a fully reimagined mobile and web platform that could support smart home automation, integrate with popular assistants like Alexa and Google Home, and be robust enough for high-volume retail channels.

Approach

We tackled the project from both a product and infrastructure standpoint:

  • Sourced and evaluated new smart device manufacturers, ensuring firmware and SDK compliance with cloud and app standards.
  • Rebuilt the mobile and web apps from the ground up, delivering a seamless user experience with native support for all of Atomi’s product lines.
  • Integrated with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and a reliable cloud platform for real-time device management.
  • Designed a comprehensive CMS and eCommerce storefront to support online sales, promotions, and account management.

Our agile methodology enabled rapid prototyping, user testing, and real-time updates based on
market and device feedback.

Our solution powered Atomi’s successful launch into the smart home market:
